To Curb COVID-19… Community treatment centre are working at a greater rate
Two months after their opening, and four months after the start of their implementation, both of the two community treatment centers for COVID-19 patients in Maarat Misrin and Salqin in the northern countryside of Idlib continue to provide full services to patients and suspected cases, as they were developed to be able to receive all cases.
WATAN directly supervises the centers through its medical teams, which are concerned with the permanent health monitoring of the camps, with the aim of early detection of infection with the virus, and to isolate and provide full care until entering the stage of full recovery.
Through these same centres suspected cases of COVID-19 can come and receive the PCR examination. In the event that the infection is confirmed the patient is accepted and quarantined in the center and put under the supervision of a specialized and qualified medical and nursing staff to take care of patients according to his/her pathological conditions and symptoms. In addition to this they have access to complete medical services including: Medications, medical supervision, meals, nursing services, blood pressure examinations, patient oxygenation, opening a vein, giving patient’s supplies, etc.
Recently, the centers were provided with three doctors working in shifts around the clock, 12 oxygen concentrators, in addition to another 16 cylinders to secure 100% oxygen, and a large-capacity generator to be able to operate, in order for the centers to increase their capacity.
The number of beneficiaries from each center is estimated at 180 beneficiaries per month.
