WATAN Response to the New IDPs Wave

WATAN launched an emergency response campaign for the IDPs from the southern Idlib countryside due to the military campaign they were subject to. WATAN field team distributed 8,200 non-food baskets containing blankets, mattresses and hygiene products at 15 displacement points. They also distributed 11,500 winter clothing bags in 4 other displacement points and installed 1,000 tents as well.

The Food Security program field team distributed 6,000 meals to 30,000 IDPs during the past few days.

Most of the displaced suffer from difficult living conditions in winter. WATAN, through its numerous programs, work to secure the basic needs of these IDPs.

WATAN also appeal to international organizations and the Security Council to stop the bombing and the military campaign against Syrian civilians.
