The number of attendees reached approximately 350 participants, the event included many activities, especially the definition of the global campaign in addition to clarifying causes and consequences of gender-based violence and its social, economic, health and psychological effects on the family and society, and motivating participants to prevent culture of discrimination that allows violence to continue against women, the event also included a special session was conducted to raise the awareness of refugees about the legal marriage and divorce in Turkey.
16 Days campaign preventing violence against women is a global campaign launched by the United Nations in 1991, with the main goal to confront all forms of violence against women and girls in the world. The campaign starts on 25th November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, till 10th of December the Human Rights Day.
