Minimum five years of related humanitarian aid procurement, logistics, administration experience, Safety & Security experience is a plus.

Responsibility
• Define Procurement and Logistics strategy within WATAN policies and procedures and ensure effective integration of operations, including coordination with other units in the organization.
• Manage Procurement and Logistics activities including all office administration tasks and logistics assets in order to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of WATAN’s goods and services.
• Responsible or all operational transport and warehousing activities, arrange for transport related contracts, including agency agreements, etc. •
Assess and update the status of corridors of access, route maps and checkpoints, delivery and distribution points.
• Ensure effective Transport, Border, Storage and Handling management, with special attention for Special Operations; and Liaise closely with agents and suppliers to ensure cargo readiness.
• Ensure that accurate and complete accounting, reporting and internal control systems are functioning and that all relevant records are regularly maintained.
Supervise procurement, logistics and admin staff and ensure that all staff are adequately trained in order to achieve high working standards; Develop comprehensive training programs as required.
• Responsible for the management of the WATAN’s warehouse(s) and transport & vehicle fleet.
• Ensure effective food commodity and non-food items (NFI) management; Monitor the quantity and quality of food commodity(ies) and NFIs stored, carry out regular commodity physical random checks/inventory of the warehouse and produce regular stocks reports; Ensure that WATAN standard waybills and forms are duly filled.
• Advise on procurement, logistics and admin management and structures and staffing levels.
• Undertake other related duties as required by the Deputy Country Director for Operations.
