Job Summary

Position Requirements

    - Education: A bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field is typically required.

    - Language skills: English & Arabic, and preferrable to have basic in Turkish.

    - Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Turkish and English are essential. Communication personnel should be able to create compelling and effective content for different audiences and communication channels.

    - Social Media Management: Strong knowledge and experience in managing social media accounts, including creating and scheduling content, responding to messages and comments, and monitoring analytics to assess the impact of social media activity.

    - Media Relations: Experience in building relationships with journalists and media outlets to promote the NGO's work and raise awareness about key issues.

    - Content Creation: Experience in creating high-quality content, including written materials such as press releases, articles, and reports, as well as visual content such as photos, videos, and infographics.

    - Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with other staff members, volunteers, and stakeholders to achieve common goals.

    - Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.

    - Flexibility and Adaptability: Willingness to work in a fast-paced and changing environment, adapt to new challenges, and be proactive in finding solutions.

    - Knowledge of NGO Sector: Familiarity with the NGO sector and its unique challenges and opportunities is an advantage.

    Media Relations: Building relationships with journalists and media outlets to promote the NGO's work and raise awareness about key issues. This may involve organizing press conferences, issuing press releases, and responding to media inquiries.

    Internal Communications: Developing and implementing internal communication strategies to ensure effective communication among staff and volunteers, including creating internal newsletters, updating the website, and organizing staff meetings and events.

    Brand Management: Ensuring the organization's brand is consistently represented across all communication channels, including social media, website, and publications.

    Monitoring and Evaluation: Monitoring and evaluating the impact of the organization's communication activities, and making recommendations for improvements based on data and feedback.
