Job Summary

     

    The Technical Advisor – Supply Chain Management will report to the Head of Logistics department and will help to coordinate and support the integration of the supply chain within health systems and health provider.

    S/he will have the opportunity to work with senior management to strategically shape the Division’s timely and successful execution of supply chain and logistics management interventions, including the provision of and/or procurement of technical assistance for field assignments as may be required.

Position Requirements

    Minimum of five (5) years of experience providing systems strengthening technical support in one or more areas such as; supply chain management, supply chain strategic planning, health commodity procurement, logistics, governance, leadership, warehousing, commodity financing, distribution, transportation.

    • Proven track record applying analytical skills in the international development space for strategic planning and partnership development.
    • Bachelor’s Degree in related subject, least five years highly desirable.
    • Advise the Deputy Principal Assistant to the Program Manager in planning and managing shipbuilding acquisition logistics efforts.
    • Assist with development and conduct of plans and actions to meet annual logistics program goals.
    • Advanced English skills & Arabic preferable.
    • Exceptional interpersonal, oral and writing skills.
    • Assist with development and update of program-level documents, presentations and policies concerning all aspects of logistics.

Responsibility

    Collaborating with the senior team to foster performance and talent management programs.

    • Provide supply chain and logistics management in-country technical assistance as appropriate through both long distance support and field travel.
    • Developing and maintaining a roster of Supply Chain Management consultants with expertise in an array of technical areas and quickly drawing on the roster to respond to task orders as requested.
    • Provide technical expertise, as requested, in supply chain management.
    • Providing accurate and timely response to employee concerns expedient resolution of problems
    • Monitoring the appropriateness and timeliness of communication including performance evaluations, disciplinary documents, postings, weekly passalong scripts
    • Managing the timely selection of exempt and non-exempt personnel
    • Develop strategies for short- and long-term staffing needs/trends
    • Assisting in the development and reinforcement of sound employee relations practices within the management team
    • Collaborating with management/HR team to provide successful colleague engagement activities while remaining within budgetary guidelines.
    • Remaining current with state and federal laws and partnering to develop plans to communicate, educate and monitor compliance
    • Assisting the HR team and colleagues in the resolution of payroll and benefit issues
    • Providing in-house training to enhance skills/knowledge where appropriate
