Job Summary

    The Health Project Manager is responsible for managing the implementation of health project consists of blood banks and primary health care centre in NWS. The role of this position includes all aspects of project management (scope, quality, and financial). This position will be reporting to the health program manager and indirectly to the technical sector lead. 

    The main duties are: 
    -    Project management
    -    Coordination 
    -    Account management
    -    Assist in project development

Position Requirements

    -   Minimum 4 years professional and proven experience leading, managing, coordinating, and implementing humanitarian projects.
    -   Bachelor's Degree in Public Health, Medicine, Dentistry, pharmaceutics, health management
    -   Candidate has to know English, Arabic
    -   Ability and willingness to travel to NW Syria.
    -   Humanitarian principles
    -   Very good in Microsoft Office (word and excel).
    -   Very good English proficiency (writing, conversation).
    -   Team worker.
    -   Communication.
    -   Team leading.

Responsibility

    Project management:
    -    Manage the facility managers (4 managers) that are working under this grant.
    -    Manage the progress of the project according to a specific work plan for the activities and their indicators.
    -    Manage the change request and approve it according to the policy to adopt to the changing context.
    -    Manage and control the budget and the expenditure of the project’s activities.
    -    Manage the quality and reflect on the issue log and the technical supervision report related to the activities. 
    -    Mange the risk and keep the risk register updated
    -    Execute the procurement plan and ensure alliance to the pharmaceutical SOP 
    -    Mange the team of the project and foster the learning and the growing of the team
    -    Field visits considering the security situation
    -    Communicate and coordinate with all stakeholders, including the cluster coordinator and partners to update them about any new activities or changed plans.
    -    Cooperate with other departments to make sure that they fulfill their tasks related to the project, especially documentation and finance report.

    Coordination Work
    -    Represent WATAN foundation in the meetings, workshops, and other related events in Turkey or outside Turkey.
    -    Prepare and submit periodic reports of project progress to the direct manager and donor.
    -    Receive the reports of implementation from field managers, revise them and discuss them to the program's manager.
    -    Attend the meetings related to the position, or any meeting as per the line manager request.
    -    Revise the project reports from all departments, including finance, MEAL, HR and logistics, and act according to the reports’ recommendations, especially MEAL reports.
    Account management
    -    Keep the account active and updated
    -    Discover the opportunity in the account and report it to the technical sector lead
    -    Ensure good communication with the account and increase the level of participation and interest
    -    Work to increase the opportunities from this account
    -    Report the progress to the donor relation team

    Assist in Project Development: 
    -    Participate in the need assessment and the FGD
    -    Participate in the design thinking session and developing the model of care suitable to the need
    -    Mainstream the sustainability and protection
    -    Participate in the budgeting exercise. 
    -    Ensure inclusion of the relevant team; MEAL, IT, logistics, and security to support in designing the project.
