Background
WATAN is preparing to submit a project proposal to a call published by EU Delegation to Turkey on European Union Scholarships (BEURS).
The global objective of this call for proposals is: To support access of Syrians under Temporary Protection, Persons under International Protection and host community members to higher education for ensuring that they have the necessary skills to become self-reliant and to contribute to economic growth and development of Turkey.
The specific objective of this call for proposals is: Through the provision of scholarships and related services to support Syrians under Temporary Protection, Persons under International Protection and host community members to enroll, continue and graduate from higher education in pursuing undergraduate/graduate studies.
Position Summary
The Education Project Manager (EPM) reports to the Country Director in Turkey. The EPM provides direct technical and managerial supervision and support to project teams for ensuring effective and efficient implementation of the education project if the proposal is granted by EU. S/he will manage all aspects of project planning and quality implementation, including providing technical expertise, project finance and budget compliance, supervising staff tasks and performance, coordinating with partners, monitoring and evaluation, and reporting, building staff and partner capacity as required. S/he is also expected to work closely with the Country Director for project related issues and represent the organization in external meetings and workshops when required.
