Job Summary

    MEAL Manager will be responsible for strengthening WATAN’s ability to create evidence and capture results. Manager will design and oversee the MEAL system, manages MEAL staff, develop and implement a realistic MEAL framework which will enable WATAN to track progress, assess impact, make adjustments and discover unplanned effects of its programs.

    MEAL Manager will also participate in program designing, proposal writing, designing of accountability systems for all WATAN field operations and specific programs components.

     

     

Position Requirements

    • Bacholer degree in Data, Business Management or any related field.
    • Experience in managing M&E systems for at least 3 years
    • Fluent in Arabic & English (strong written and verbal skills)
    • Very good knowledge of data systems
    • Ability to extract reports from data analysis 
    • Ability to supervise independent research
    • Flexibility in development in relation to sector expansion

Responsibility

    • To ensure the planning and implementation of projects and programs carried out by WATAN in accordance with the standards adopted 
    • Supervise the development of monitoring and evaluation plans for projects at all stages 
    • Supervise the management of and relationship with the beneficiaries in WATAN’s sectors of work and in implementation of programs, provide updates/learning on two levels: emergency response and long-term development projects 
    •  Supervise and develop the central database in the organization and invest in the best ways to benefit the beneficiaries and WATAN
    • Supervise the technical studies department 
    • Supervise the feedback system, deal with complaints, find the mechanisms of response, ensure follow-up and modify technical data accordingly.
    • Report on emergency programs
    • Lead the work team under their management and develop capacity building plans at a technical and administrative level to ensure the organizational structure of the department
    • Manage the budget of the department
    • Manage third party monitoring and evaluation services for organizations outside WATAN
    • Develop the department's growth plan in terms of human resources and technical equipment in line with the expansion plan of WATAN’s programs
    • Manage relations with institutions and research centers partnering WATAN with donors
    • Design or supervise systems to be put in place regarding the department and its services
    • Represent the organization in external meetings related to its work and donors 
    • Any tasks assigned by the direct manager
