Job Summary

    A specialist doctor in general internal medicine or Pulmonology, or intensive care will be part of the telehealth project.

    The workplace will be in Turkey (Gaziantep - Istanbul - Hatay with Cross Border to Syria) The role of doctors is to provide medical consultations to treating doctors in Covid 19 centers and hospitals through the telehealth program.

    developing the capabilities of  especially physicians working in COVID-19 specialized centers and hospitals inside Syria (specialist - resident - general practitioner) on the evaluation and treatment protocols for COVID-19 disease.

Position Requirements

    • Univrsity degree in medicine specelized with internal medicine, ICU, Pulmonology or intensive care.
    • Minimum of 5 years of work experience as a specialized physician in a hospital, preferably with direct supervision on department’s physicians (Specialized / Resident physicians).
    • Working under pressure.
    • Team management and ability to train & qualify the team.
    • Time management.
    • Fair level of proficiency in Word and Excel.

Responsibility

    Planning:

    • Contribute to policies and SOPs development, if required, only according to their field of specialization.

    Implementation:

    • The project team expects from the consultant physicians to be appointed to contribute mainly to developing the capabilities of health personnel, especially physicians working in COVID-19 specialized centers and hospitals inside Syria (specialist - resident - general practitioner) on the evaluation and treatment protocols for COVID-19 disease, through:
    • Assisting the attending physicians working in the targeted facilities to execute the classification criteria and identifying cases that need advanced medical services based on clinical and laboratory findings and radiological investigations, and determining the danger signs to be examined.
    • Support the attending physicians to manage non-critical cases and determine appropriate prescriptions for each case with the necessary recommendations for follow-up and when to seek health care.
    • Work in coordination with the attending physician to make the decisions related to implement routine and case-based medical interventions and required investigations.
    • Mentoring the attending physicians to case-based adjustment the doses of medicines for patients with chronic diseases during the period of infection with COVID-19 disease
    • Provision of medical counselling to the attending physician in cases that require referral to higher levels of care
    • Making the decision to discharge patients who have recovered, and providing recommendations for each case
    • Ensuring the quality of recording patient follow-ups and other data in their records and discharge forms
    • Submit statistical reports periodically as agreed with the project management.
