Job Summary

    WATAN is seeking a TSI  Project Assistant who will be respoinsible for Implementing awareness raising activities for Syrian refugees and hosting communities, and Participate in developing and adapting methods and materials used. Also, Support in monitoring and evaluation of the project as well as reporting and documentation.                                                                                                                                          

Position Requirements

    • Minimum Education Degree: Bachelor’s degree in business management or related specialization
    • Fluency in Arabic and excellent skills in English (written and spoken). Turkish is a plus
    • Travel Availability: Ability and willingness to travel domestically.
    • Conduct any other professional task requested by the travel safety information Officer or Travel safety information Coordinator
    • Computer literate including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
    • Years of experience: at least 2 years of relevant professional experience with training/teaching/facilitation or similar. 
    • Commitment in social issues – previous experience with social work an asset
    • Previous experience in reporting, monitoring and evaluation an asset
    • Strong initiative and self-motivation, with a commitment to teamwork
    • Flexible, enthusiastic and willingness to learn from others
    • Ability to multi-task and cope with competing demands under tight deadlines
    • Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships in a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary environment
    • Commitment to the humanitarian principles

Responsibility

    • Provide travel safety information Awareness Sessions to the Syrian refugee population based in Urfa province; and provide and TSI Trainings when required 
    • Support to develop and improve Travel safety information materials together with the Travel safety information Officer and Travel safety information  Coordinator (including translation)
    • Prepare session reports, summary reports, and reports on all implemented activity 
    • Facilitate the day to day monitoring and impact monitoring of the implemented activities by the Travel safety information Team Leader (including translation); with the support of Travel safety information Officer and  Travel safety information  Coordinator
    • Ensure that all Travel safety information activities are implemented to a high standard
    • Liaise with the community leaders to sensitize them on the STI project 
    • In coordination with the Team Leader ensure that all forms and questionnaires are accurate, of high quality and are adapted to the local context
    • Collect the requested data, using the forms and questionnaires provided by the Travel safety information Project Officer 
    • Support the  Travel safety information Officer to maintain all project-related documentation and ensure proper filing
