Job Summary

    WATAN Foundation in Turkey, together with its partners, is providing humanitarian assistance to people affected by the Syrian crisis, both in Syria and Turkey. 

    The coordinator will assist in Admin, Logistic, HR, Finance tasks including preparation, coordination and documentation. He/she will also attend appropriate WGs regularly to establish a network and strengthen a relationship with UN agencies.
     

Position Requirements

    • Minimum Education Degree: Bachelor’s degree in business management or related specialization
    • Languages: Arabic, and English is a must
    • Travel Availability: Ability and willingness to travel domestically
    • Have a good experience in the same position
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Knowledge and compliance with humanitarian standards
    • PMP/PMD familiarity
    • Ability to communicate effectively with others
    • Ability to represent the organization image in professional manner.
    • Commitment to humanitarian relief standards,
    • High level of organizing skills. 
    • Ability to handle pressure
    • Creativity and ability to develop and improve work.
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication, remote management, and planning skills
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and tasks efficiently
    • High level of flexibility to adapt to new environment, handle work load
    • High level of problem solving and decision-making skills
    • Regular field visits to monitor implementation of programs
    • Participate in and actively contribute to monthly sector coordination meetings (ex. Protection WG, Education WG, other appropriate WGs)
       

Responsibility

    • Monitor track closely the project plan implementation according to time and achieved objectives
    • Ensure that all project activities and relevant documents are documented/archived according to partner/donor/institution requirements
    • Prepare all needed reports related to project/donor/partner
    • Collaborate with stakeholders from WATAN regarding project activities implementation
    • Follow up with field team leader regarding project implementation
    • Ensure that all forms used are complied with donor / partner regulations
    • Frequent travel to other cities to attend project sites and provide support to team as needed
    • Represent WATAN in related working groups and other stakeholder or coordination meetings,as needed, and maintain a positive, continuous and visible presence for WATAN
    • Maintain relationships with local partners, local authorities and stakeholders
    • Provide input for new projects/proposals, and present solutions to overcome any difficulties
    • Share the information of project implementation regularly and adequately with project manager
    • Work closely with agencies and organizations in the related areas for collaboration
    • Perform any other tasks under the guidance of the direct supervisor
