Job Summary

    WATAN is seeking a Digital Media Coordinator to attract and interact with targeted virtual communities and networks users.
    He/She will lead our marketing efforts using new media and digital tools.
    If you know how to creatively handle various online marketing tools, like websites and blogs, this position is for you. You will work with different teams to coordinate our marketing, advertising and promotional activities.
    Ultimately, He/She should be able to promote our Organization and increase Followers, Partners and Donors engagement.

Position Requirements

    • Proven working experience in social media marketing and digital media
    • Expertise in multiple social media platforms
    • Familiarity with online marketing strategies and marketing channels
    • In-depth knowledge of search engine optimization, keyword research and Google Analytics
    • Knowledge of Photoshop, illustrator, Premiere Pro, or other media editing software
    • Excellent consulting, writing, editing (photo/video/text), presentation and communication skills
    • Experience with visual communication principles
    • Familiarity with web design and content management systems
    • Excellent analytical skills
    • Positive attitude with strong verbal and written communication skills, with good multitasking and organisational ability and perform under tight deadlines
    • Ability to gasp future trends in digital technologies and act proactively
    • Knowledge of online marketing and good understanding of major marketing channels
    • Fluency in English
    • Demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge
    • Additional qualification in web design or animation is a plus


    • Build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification
    • Generate, edit, publish and share daily content (original text, images, video or HTML) that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action
    • Setting up and optimizing the organization pages within each social media platform to increase the visibility of organization’s social content
    • Create editorial calendars and syndication schedules
    • Researching audience preferences and discover current trends
    • Creating engaging text, image and video content
    • Design digital media campaigns aligned with WATAN strategy 
    • Designing posts to sustain readers’ curiosity and creating buzz around new campaigns
    • Measure web traffic and monitor INGO activates and the humanitarian events and conference
    • Report on online reviews and feedback from followers and fans
    • Develop an optimal posting schedule, considering web traffic and the followers engagement metrics
    • Planning and implement online advocacy campaigns strategies through social media accounts.
    • Coordinate the creation of digital content (e.g. website, blogs and press releases)
    • Establish our web presence to boost brand awareness
    • Maintain a strong online image for the organization through social media
    • Liaise with business development department to ensure brand consistency
    • Suggest and implement direct marketing methods to increase the attention of the target audience
    • Suggest new ways to attract prospective followers
    • Train co-workers to use social media in a cohesive and beneficial way
    • Stay up-to-date with changes in digital media developments and all social platforms ensuring maximum effectiveness
