In 2012, Watan began its first humanitarian programming in North Syria. Since then Watan’s programs have expanded to both sides of the border (Turkey and Syria) and include a wide variety of activities such as: FSL, WASH, Protection, Education, Health..etc. Watan M&E assistant will work under the direct supervision of the MEAL manager with technical reporting lines to the MEAL officers. Watan M&E assistant will be 100% dedicated to work in the field with Watan projects’ staff in the implementation of Watan MEAL plan according to program requirements. He/She will be responsible for the day to day monitoring and evaluation of activities of WATAN projects. The position requires an in depth understanding of the various monitoring and evaluation needs of Humanitarian programming. She/he will work closely alongside with Watan program staff to support program quality and transparency identifying issues, challenges, gaps to be responded in time. Watan M&E field officer will work closely with WATAN volunteers and Gaziantep-based MEAL team and Program teams.
