Job Summary

    WATAN Foundation in Turkey, together with its partners, is providing humanitarian assistance to people affected by the Syrian crisis, both in Syria and Turkey. 

     Managed by Legal consultant. He / She will conduct awareness raising sessions to BNFs about the legal issues. he/she will perform a variety of tasks to support Legal consultant (lawyer). The position will be based in  Gaziantep.

Position Requirements

    • Graduates of Faculties of Law (completion of law internship will be an asset).
    • Having competency on Human Rights Law, Humanitarian Law, Refugee Law at the national and international level.
    • Minimum 1-3 years of professional experience.
    • Having high communication skills and speaks fluently and effectively.
    • Having a good command of English and Turkish
    • Having competency in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
    • Knowledge of human rights law.
    • Knowledge of Turkish national law on Foreigners and International Protection.
    • Experience or interest on Syrian context.
    • English, Turkish and/or Arabic is required.


    • Preparing the necessary records for external  funding transfers in agreement with the PTT
    • Ensure registration of the funding income to the DERBİS system and recorded in the Decision Book.
    • Registration of the financial records received in the DERBİS & filing of the receipts according to the date and incoming institution and recording in the Decision Book.
    • Ensure frequent communication with the Provincial Directorate of Associations Officials, Legal accountant and Lawyer company.
    • Following the legal association processes, organizing the general assembly, preparing and completing of the documents.
    • Responsible for entering external donations to the QuickBooks to support Finance Team.
    • Receiving and reviewing of all transactions documents that are presented to finance for processing.
    • Preparation of the applications and required documents for the work permit of foreign nationals.
    • Communication required with the Ministry of Labor in this process of work permit and uploading them to WBPM system for payment of the fee after approval.
    • Making sure all the printed monthly reports are collected, and put in a failing System labeled by (code/Donor/month/year).
    • Working with the team of Turkey operation, Manage all administrative responsibilities in the department by :
    • Carry out its meeting
    • Record minutes of meeting
    • Provide the legal documents for the necessary applications.
    • Developing an automated archive system and physical archive of the organization, legal documents, receipts, protocols, contract of projects in the most practical way.
    • Direct commutation required with Banks of organization and ensure delivery of tasks, records and transactions.
    • Update the department and management with all new legal roles and regulations announced by the Government on regular basis.
    • Coordinate with all relevant departments for the Government Audit when required
